Lenses

The Plano Convex lens is the standard focusing optical element. It is the most cost efficient choice in large f-number systems (f#>10), which are diffraction limited, and in smaller f-number systems where less than optimal spot size and spherical aberration can be tolerated.

Janos offers an extensive list of standard Plano Convex lenses in a wide variety of materials and material grades. Standard lenses are also offered with AR coating at 3.5µm (Si) and 10.6µm (Ge, ZnSe, and CdTe).
