Janos Technology, Inc. provides standard and special metal mirrors with surface contours ranging from flat to complex off-axis aspherical. These mirrors are produced on state-of-the-art programmed CNC single-point, air bearing diamond machining systems. Mirrors are processed through our in-house vacuum coating facility for coatings designed for high reflectivity at various wavelengths.

Full-aperture surface testing and through-lens performance data at applied wavelengths are also available as a complete package for mirror lens assemblies.

These mirrors are machined from solid bar stock to minimize surface figure deformation which is inherent to the thin walled replicated type. The mirrors are machined flat on the back and tapped with locating holes for accurate mounting.

The mirrors are offered in three standard configurations: plano (flat), parabolic, and off-axis parabolic. Also in this catalog are uncoated aluminum off-axis parabolas and uncoated copper plano mirrors. Standard coatings offered are gold or protected aluminum. Important note on diamond machined optics
* The metal mirrors in the section have diamond turned surfaces with surface roughness between 60 and 150 angstroms RMS. Customers intending to use these mirrors in the visible or UV range should be aware that they may not be suitable in scatter-sensitive applications. The mirrors have been used very effectively to concentrate short wavelength light, but some residual scatter may be present. Please call us and discuss your application with our technical staff if you have any concerns or questions.
